Robert Bruce was a famous king of Scotland.He ruled over the country with good name and fame. His army was defeated for six times against his enemies. At last he lost his kingdom. He fled away to save his life.He took shelter in a cave. He was in a sad mood. One day the king was lying in the cave and thinking about how he could get back his kingdom. Suddenly he noticed a spider trying to reach the ceiling of the cave. It failed six times and became successful in the seventh attempt.This sight inspired Robert Bruce very much. He gathered an army of strong men and attacked his enemies.At last he defeated them and got back his kingdom.

রবার্ট ব্রুস স্কটল্যান্ডের এক বিখ্যাত রাজা ছিলেন। তিনি সুনাম অর্জন করে দেশ শাসন করেছিলেন। তার সেনাবাহিনীর শত্রুদের সাথে ছযবার পরাজিত হয়েছিল। অবশেষে তিনি তার রাজ্য হারালেন। তিনি জীবন রক্ষা করার জন্য পালিয়ে গেলেন। তিনি গুহায় আশ্রয় নিলেন। তিনি বিষণ্ন মনে ছিলেন। একদিন রাজা গুহায় শুয়েছিলেন এবং কিভাবে রাজ্য ফিরে পাওয়া যায় তা নিয়ে চিন্তা করছিলেন। হঠাৎ তিনি এক মাকড়সা দেখলেন গুহার সিলিং-এ উঠার জন্য চেষ্টা করছিল। এটা ছয়বার অকৃতকার্য হল এবং সপ্তম প্রচেষ্টায় কৃতকার্য হল। এ দৃশ্য রবার্ট ব্রুসকে বেশ অনুপ্রাণিত করল। তিনি শক্তিশালী মানুষের একটি সেনাবাহিনী সংগ্রহ করলেন এবং তার শত্রুদের আক্রমণ করলেন। অবশেষে তিনি তাদের পরাজিত করেন এবং তার রাজ্য ফিরে পান।
